Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-08-15

1. Publisher

The Legal-Index service, available at legal-index.com, is published by [Raison sociale — à compléter], [Forme juridique et capital — à compléter], registered office [Adresse du siège social — à compléter], registration number [N° registre de commerce — à compléter], tax identifier [NIF / TVA — à compléter].

Publication director: [Directeur de la publication — à compléter]. Hosting: [Hébergeur — à compléter]. Contact: contact@legal-index.com.

2. Purpose

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Legal-Index platform (the "Service"), an agentic artificial-intelligence platform that lets you converse with AI agents, build your own agents, query your own documents, produce deliverables, and integrate those functions through an application programming interface (API).

Creating an account constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

3. Account

Access requires an account with a valid email address, verified by one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.

You undertake to provide accurate information and keep it current. One account per person; sharing credentials between users is not permitted — team accounts and seats exist for that purpose.

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. Deletion erases your content within the periods set out in the privacy policy.

4. Description of the Service

Depending on your plan, the Service provides:

  • a multi-agent chat with specialised agents and language models from several providers;
  • an agent studio to compose your own agents and enable capabilities (web search, documents, spreadsheets, images, code, email, scheduling, databases…);
  • knowledge bases returning answers grounded in your own documents, with cited sources;
  • business applications and production studios (decks, websites, spreadsheets, reports, translation, dubbing…);
  • automation (scheduled tasks, human approval of sensitive actions);
  • integrations with third-party services you connect yourself;
  • an API and embeddable widgets to integrate the Service into your own products.

The Service evolves continuously. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn; material adverse changes are notified in advance.

5. Nature of AI output

The Service relies on artificial-intelligence models. You expressly acknowledge that:

  • output is generated probabilistically and may contain errors, omissions or inaccurate statements, including where sources are cited;
  • output does not constitute professional advice — legal, tax, accounting, medical, financial or engineering — and does not replace the judgement of a qualified professional;
  • you must verify any output before relying on it, particularly before any decision with legal, financial or human consequences;
  • similar output may be generated for other users; uniqueness is not guaranteed.

Autonomous agent features can perform actions (sending email, publishing, API calls, sandboxed code execution). Sensitive actions are subject to human approval where that option is enabled. You remain responsible for actions initiated from your account.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • breach any applicable law or regulation, or infringe third-party rights;
  • produce or distribute unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing or child-exploitative content;
  • generate deceptive content presented as human or official in order to mislead (fraud, impersonation, forged documents);
  • compromise the security of the Service: circumventing limits, quotas, the sandbox or access controls, reverse engineering, automated mass extraction;
  • upload content you have no right to use, or sensitive data without an appropriate legal basis;
  • resell access without written agreement, or use it to train a competing model.

Breach may result in immediate suspension, without refund of amounts corresponding to the infringing use.

7. Your content and intellectual property

Your content remains yours. You retain all rights in the documents, data and instructions you upload ("Input"). You grant us only a non-exclusive licence, limited to the duration required, to host, process and transmit that content solely to provide the Service.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the results generated from your instructions ("Output"). You are responsible for their use and compliance.

We do not use your content to train models, ours or third parties', absent your separate and explicit agreement.

The platform itself — code, interfaces, trade marks, documentation, supplied agents — remains our exclusive property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights.

8. Confidentiality and security

Data is partitioned by account and organisation. Code executed by agents runs in an isolated sandbox with no network access. Outbound access passes through a controlled filter. Integration secrets and tokens are encrypted at rest.

Processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

9. Availability, maintenance and support

The Service is provided on a continuous basis, subject to maintenance and incidents. No contractual service level is guaranteed on self-service plans; availability commitments may be agreed separately for enterprise and on-premise deployments.

We may suspend access temporarily for security, maintenance or compliance reasons, keeping any interruption as short as reasonably possible.

10. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of business, data, revenue or opportunity, nor for the consequences of a decision taken on the basis of unverified output.

In any event, and save for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, our total liability is limited to the amounts actually paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the triggering event.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for personal injury or fraud.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, use that threatens the security or stability of the Service, or legal obligation. Except for serious breach, prior notice is given.

12. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be amended. The applicable version is the one in force when you use the Service. Material changes are notified by appropriate means; continued use constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law applicable at the publisher's registered office. Failing amicable resolution, jurisdiction is granted to [Tribunaux compétents — à compléter], subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.

14. Contact

Any question regarding these Terms may be sent to contact@legal-index.com.

These documents form the contractual framework of the service. They are not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation.
